Oat groats are whole oats with only the outer husk removed. They contain more protein and healthy fats, and less carbohydrates compared to other whole grains. Recommended to soak in water or milk overnight to absorb liquid. Once soaked they can be eaten raw.
Cooking Instructions (w/o pre-soak):
Simmer 1 cup of oat groats in 3 cups of liquid for 2 hours. A double boiler can reduce the cook time to 30 min - 1 hour.
