Hulled and toasted, whole kernel buckwheat.

Not actually a wheat or grass, buckwheat, or kasha, is an ancient seed from a flowering plant related to rhubarb. Naturally gluten free and contains all 8 essential amino acids making it a high quality source of plant protein. It also contains lysine, B vitamins, minerals and a high content of both soluable and insoluble fiber. 

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Rinse and bring 2 parts water to 1 part kernel to a boil. Do not soak.
  2. Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until desired texture.
  3. Drain in colander or let the extra moisture steam off.
