Great Northern beans have a mild nutty flavor that is ideal when paired with aromatic herbs and pungent spices. They share many characteristics with with pother white beans, like cannellini and navy beans, and can often be used interchangeably.
To cook, soak beans overnight, rinse, add fresh water and bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer and cook until soft.
