It also has a notable aroma reminiscent of maple. For years fenugreek has been used in traditional medicine to promote digestion, lower blood sugar levels in diabetics, and as a tropical application. A commonly used spice in Egyptian, Indian, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Can also be prepared as an infusion in tea blends.
